The Daily Double Part 10

The element of surprise still in her favor, Kitty catches up with the impostor and lands a strong Ketsugo nerve hold on her neck, rendering her temporarily paralyzed!

What an astonishing likeness! It is not every day that one is confronted by one's double...it seems that both Kittys are paralyzed for a moment!

The real Kitty quickly regains her presence of mind, spurred on by the phony look about the hair of her captive...

Of course! The impostor is Coco, little sister of the treacherous G.R.O.U.T. henchman Moco! Now Kitty knows why Moco was so eager to detain her in Mexico City, putting that ruthless lady wrestler in her way. At the time, Kitty assumed that Moco had done it out of pure meanness; it was the sort of thing he would do, especially if Durazhnik was not around to rein him in. But no, Moco was trying to give his kid sister a boost in the business!

Coco cannot be more than 15 years old; not even old enough to drive! No wonder she was trying to catch the train. It is a sad state of affairs to see one so young operating against the interests of the Free World. Yet Kitty cannot help admiring her pluck, her inventiveness. Perhaps there is hope after all. Kitty decides to turn Coco over to the NATO Reformatory for Juvenile Spies; there she will have a chance of shaking her evil brother's influence and becoming a productive member of society.

Coco: "I was going to ruin the race for you, you smug Americans with your Boy Scout racehorse! I would have gotten away with it if you weren't around! I gave Rule the World the serum that would make her win. I did everything to make Teabiscuit lose, too! It was a sure thing, but you messed it up!" Kitty: "As much as I'd love to take the credit for foiling your nefarious plan, pet, it didn't happen quite the way you think..."
